Must Try Indian Style Salad Dressing Recipes
As the temperatures soar, we all love eating crunchy fresh salads. Not only salads satiate hunger pangs but also are a healthy addition to our daily diet. However, store bought ready made salad dressings are full of preservatives & hidden sugars. Although, we love eating salads at home, my family prefers Indian style salad dressings over ranch, vinaigrette & mayonnaise.
Hung Curd & Indian Spices Dressing:
Take one cup hung curd. Further, add select Indian spices like freshly ground cumin powder, chili powder, salt & pepper to taste. Next, mix well. Now, add a little bit of grated ginger, lemon & honey. Mix to well combine. Finally, store in air tight container till use. This Indian style hung curd & Indian spices salad dressing pairs well with lettuce, greens like baby spinach & more. One of the best salad dressing for weight loss.

Tamarind Yogurt Dressing:
How about using sweet & tangy tamarind instead of store bought balsamic vinegar? Moreover, tamarind improves digestion, is rich in anti oxidants & helps tone complexion. Enough reason? So, let's make this delicious & tangy tamarind yogurt dressing.
Soak a little tamarind in warm water. Next, extract pulp & reserve. Further, take one cup thick yogurt & add the tamarind pulp. Add salt, pepper to taste along with honey to balance flavors. Also, to spice things up add fresh ginger garlic paste. Finally, add fresh cumin powder. Mix well. Drizzle all over mixed greens & enjoy.

Nothing pairs well like curd & zesty mint. Take one cup hung curd. Next, add freshly chopped mint leaves. Now add salt, pepper, lemon juice & finely minced garlic. Drizzle a little olive oil & mix well to combine. Chill for couple of hours. Furthermore, drizzle over freshly cut cucumbers, tomato, spring onions to make a raita style salad. Simple & flavorful, this dressing pairs well with freshly cut seasonal cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes & mixed greens. Juice one lemon & add finely chopped coriander to it. Next, add sesame oil to it. Further, add honey & salt & pepper to taste. Mix well to emulsify. Store in fridge till ready to use. A zesty Indian salad dressing with lemon, don't you think so?
