We chose Bandos after careful research as Maldives offers unlimited choices for travelers ranging from budget, mid-range to uber luxurious. Pro Tip# Try planning a Maldivian vacation during off season (May till October). Our visit in the month of July guaranteed us lower prices, lesser crowds and contrary to popular belief, we did not encounter incessant rains. After a warm Maldivian welcome, we were ushered to our Jacuzzi Beach Villa, set on the white sandy beach with unhindered views of the crystal-clear lagoon..... a perfect beach hideaway. Feel instantly comfortable in the spacious beach villa as you relax in the separate living area or wake up to the sounds of the ocean in the bedroom upstairs. The villa offers modern amenities and relaxing seclusion with an open-air Jacuzzi, yet retains a traditional touch with a thatched roof.

Perfect for a romantic getaway or adventurous fun, Bandos Maldives is an idyllic choice for a memorable holiday. The resort offers good accommodation options from ultra luxurious water villas, comfortable Jacuzzi Beach and Pool Villas, Garden Villas and different category of rooms- standard, classic and deluxe.

The house reef, one of the best in North Malé Atoll is great for snorkeling and you get to witness diverse marine life- baby sharks, sea turtles, tuna, butterfly fishes and more. Pro Tip# Try early morning or evenings for a great snorkeling experience as waters are more calm. As we snorkeled one day at 7 am, we encountered a beautiful sea turtle and swam along with it. At the resort, the PADI Dive Centre, offers the chance to view sharks, rays and turtles in their natural habitat. One can also opt for exciting game fishing excursions, picnics and many more activities at the resort.

Dining at Bandos, Maldives is a pleasure. Choose from indoor buffet meals at Gallery restaurant (open to all- inclusive bookings) or other breezy outdoor venues. Enjoy gorgeous sunset views from the sundeck at Huvan as you sip on your favorite cocktails or some romantic time at Sand Bar- a classic island beach bar.

Koon Thai serves authentic Thai cuisine and Umi Yaki does delicious grills. Hunger pangs at odd times? Sea Breeze- a lounge open round the clock will tempt you with a multi cuisine menu. Pro Tip #The menu is priced well compared to other resorts in Maldives, so try taking a half board option.

Many airlines fly to Maldives from India and other destinations. We chose Sri Lankan airlines for our travel as we had a planned a holiday in Sri Lanka before arriving in Maldives.

Go Island hopping on a mechanized Dhoni to explore different islands on the North Malé Atoll and experience local life from close quarters, a good option if you are skipping a stay at Malé.
